Emma | Sammamish High School Senior 2016

We sure had a great time while photographing Emma for her senior pictures.  Nailing down this busy girl with her hectic schedule was tricky, but it's not hard to see why.   Emma is Honor Society all four years, class President as well as ASB President.  She is a two time softball captain, all KINGCO honorable mention three times in a row and her talents don't end there, she sings with the All Northwest Choir.  She enjoys softball, soccer, singing, reading and running.  And I love her to the moon and back!

Sisters | Sneak Peek

I cannot say enough about these two beauties...  They arrived when it was snowing—hard.  And while I was willing to go forward with our photo session, their comfort was paramount to me and it was cold, blowing, snowing with intermittent ice pellets coming down.  I knew I could try to shelter them underneath some large trees, but I wouldn't have given it a second thought if they chose to reschedule.

Not only were they willing to go forward they did so with such grace.  Sisters, but clearly best friends and their genuine friendship comes through in every image.  I absolutely loved working with Taylor and Ryan and will be looking forward to another photo session with them in the Spring when the weather is nicer.

This beautiful mother of two came in last week for a boudoir session, along some gorgeous lingerie and her Jimmy Choo's.  She has a smile lights up a room and it was a pleasure working with her.

Into The Forest | Beauty

This image is from a session I photographed back in February that I recently re-edited with a technique that works aesthetically on a very few images.  I thought this technique was a perfect fit for this image.  

I know it's cold outside this time of year, but my boudoir clients are courageous!  I hope one of my upcoming boudoir clients will brave the cold before the fall colors are gone.  (I'll have a heated towel waiting for you and it doesn't take long for me to capture a few frames.)

Jess came in for a beauty portrait session and she brought this beautiful corset with her.  I always ask clients to error on the side of bringing too much, rather than not enough, it's nice to have wardrobe options!

It's a session showcasing the best of you, inside and out.  You don't have to be draped in tulle, you can bring your favorite gown, dress or whatever you think looks the best on you and I'll take it from there...

Beauty Portraiture + Sneak Peek

I did a stylized beauty portrait session with Jess last week.  Her adorable smile lit up the studio as you can see in this sneak peek.  There's more to come next week, but I couldn't resist posting a little teaser.

These sessions start out with learning a little about the woman I'm working with, what she loves about herself, what her passions are and what she enjoys.  The goal is to glam you up and wrap you in tulle or a gorgeous gown you may have and rarely get to wear and show both your inner and outer beauty, you will feel radiant and your portraits will remind you every day just how beautiful you are!

Bellevue Portrait Photographer | Studio Session

This stylized photo session was planned weeks in advance.  I made three tulle skirts, a floral and tulle shoulder piece and all the individual flowers by hand.  I visualized the session in my head and hoped everything would come together as planned. and it did!  What a fun session and a good time we had shooting it in my studio.

I wasn't able to fit anything to Emma prior to the session, but as you can see below, she was beautiful.  I encourage clients to make their own tulle skirts, or vintage dresses and I'm happy to collaborate ideas and think outside of the box to create beautiful portraiture.

Bellevue Portrait Photographer | The individual portrait

When was the last time you had a professional portrait taken of yourself?  I'll bet it's been a very long time.  A portrait makes a nice gift for the loved ones in your life and more importantly a wonderful gift for yourself.

Almost everyone has a social networking profile on the internet or are involved in groups like meetup.com, if so, how old is your profile image?  I'll bet it's over a year old, or in some cases maybe three years...  When you meet people, you want them to recognize you right away and not question if that's actually you they saw in your profile image.

Consider updating your image, for yourself, for your family, your grandchildren, your children, or that online dating site you've been thinking about joining!

For women out there of any age, consider an elegant glamour portrait, (these sessions in particular are incredibly empowering regardless of your age.)  You cannot imagine the woman you are who has been been hidden away between work, shuffling your kids from school to soccer and all the other demands on women.  I cannot stress how making this special time for yourself can leave you feeling.  A  fresh image speaks a thousand words...

Athena is moving soon and she came to me before she leaves for some images of herself at this wonderful stage of her life.  She is in love, happy and excited for the new adventure and journey ahead of her.  We headed into the studio to create images that show this beautiful, sexy and confident woman.

These two beauties have been best friends for ten years and one is moving soon, but nothing will keep them apart.  They are connected at the heart and so endearing with one another.  It was a pleasure to photograph them.  Such a fun session!
