Session Favorites + Bellevue Portrait Photographer

It was such a pleasure photographing these three beauties...  They have a closeness and love that shines through every frame.  I made the floral headpieces for this session and after a while I told the girl's they could take them off if they wanted, but they both said, "No!  We like them!"  I was thrilled since they looked so pretty, so we kept shooting until the end of the session.

I photographed the sisters back in March.  Just as they arrived it started to snow!  They were still up for the challenge and you can see those images here.

Thank you Heather, Ryan and Taylor xo

Sisters | Peek from Friday evening session

I had the pleasure of photographing these sisters again. The love they feel for one another and the love their mother has for both of them is palpable.  It's a delight to be in their company and around so much love.  More to come soon!

My Property | Relaxed Photo Sessions

Lately I've been photographing clients on my property in Redmond, WA.  It offers the ability to shoot sessions without worrying about the weather on these rainy/sunny combination days, because I can invite clients inside to wait out a quick shower and warm up with a cup of hot chocolate.

What both my clients and I like the most about shooting sessions here is the privacy.  We don't have to worry about people watching, which leads to a more relaxed session with no interruptions.

In the examples below, it was snowing off and on this day and we took several breaks and were able to finish our session without rescheduling.

The images on the left were not taken on the same day as the session images on the right, but they show the beautiful end result.

If you are interested in scheduling a summer session, please contact me here.

March 2014 | Photo of the Month

Another favorite from my session with sister's, Ryan and Taylor.  There's so many favorites it's hard to choose just one for photo of the month, but this image tells a story of the closeness they share.  It was evident during their session, the interaction between them is so genuine and loving.

Sisters | Ryan and Taylor + Session Favorites

These beautiful sisters were a dream to photograph.  When they arrived it was snowing, but they were "all in" and willing to go forward with our photo session.  We were not able to use all of our planned wardrobe changes due to the weather, but this is just a lucky break for me, because this means I'll be photographing them again this spring!

Sisters | Sneak Peek

I cannot say enough about these two beauties...  They arrived when it was snowing—hard.  And while I was willing to go forward with our photo session, their comfort was paramount to me and it was cold, blowing, snowing with intermittent ice pellets coming down.  I knew I could try to shelter them underneath some large trees, but I wouldn't have given it a second thought if they chose to reschedule.

Not only were they willing to go forward they did so with such grace.  Sisters, but clearly best friends and their genuine friendship comes through in every image.  I absolutely loved working with Taylor and Ryan and will be looking forward to another photo session with them in the Spring when the weather is nicer.

More images from their session coming soon!

Sister's | Bellevue Portrait Photographer

I very much enjoy exploring the sister (or best friend) relationship through the lens of my camera.  I'm looking forward to showcasing more sister's on the blog next month!

Wishing my sister, Deborah a very Happy Birthday today ~ xo

Bellevue Portrait Photographer | Three generations

I had the privilege of photographing three generations this past weekend.  My dear friend Nancy, her mother Pearl and her daughter's Breanna and Jess.

I was able to take some time alone with the girls and they were up for anything.  We had a great time capturing these images as Jess will be marrying next month!  (Breanna was married back in August 2010.)

Photographing siblings with two distinct personalities and how they merge beautifully when they come together is what I hope I've captured here. These sisters are as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside.

Life moves so quickly and before you know it, your sister or brother is off getting married and before long they are starting families and time slips away in the blink of an eye.

Consider scheduling portrait session with your brother or sister this summer, I can assure you, it will be time well spent and leave you with memories that last a lifetime!

Bellevue Child Photographer | Sisters!

"Husbands come and go; children come and eventually they go.  Friends grow up and move away.
But the one thing that’s never lost is your sister."

Sisters are... Forever.
