Bellevue Senior Photographer | Ocean Session

Well this was a tricky session, strong winds, wrangling a reflector while maintaining camera focus, but it was a joy too.  Miss E. and I collaborated on ideas before the session and she was flexible and open to trying new things, including getting down in the trenches in sandy and windy conditions.  She is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside!

Don't forget to nominate a deserving high-school senior in the Bellevue, WA area for a complimentary photo session for senior pictures, there is only one week left to get your nomination in!  Click here for details.

Snow session | Miss E. Sneak Peek

She is so beautiful and like she says,
"I am not sure what reflects me, because I am a puzzle made up of many different pieces."

Tournament Baseball Weekend

This is a tournament weekend! These girls have played three games in the last two days. Last night's game was halted with only a few innings left due to dusk. After playing two games yesterday, they have to come back this morning at 8:15 a.m. to finish. The outcome of this morning's game will determine if they're moving forward and playing two more games today.  Whew!

Some of the girls were battered, bruised, tired and using ice packs waiting in the dugout for their turn to bat.

Volleyball

Volleyball is a new sport for Miss E and she is a strong player. It was fun to watch. I used to be on a volleyball league and loved the game, camaraderie and competition.

Way to go E!

A day of soccer... and a few other fun photos!

Yesterday I attended three-soccer games; one for Miss O, Miss E. and Mr. K. I also had time in-between to catch a few fun things not-soccer related.

My Beautiful Muse... Miss E.

Muse: The source of an artist's inspiration.

Her patience and willingness to work with me has made me a better photographer and for this I am so grateful!

Miss E is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. There are no boundaries for her, the sky is the limit and I look forward to seeing what life has in store for her.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Miss E. and Fast Pitch Softball

I had the opportunity last night to watch Miss E. and her teammates play fast pitch softball. I'm used to shooting at fields that are not encased by the big chain link fences, (the younger kids play on open fields.)

Initially, I was put off by the high fence (not photograph friendly.) Well... I have a new appreciation for these high-rise fences... Miss E. was assigned to play catcher, so I got my stool and lined myself right behind home base.

Here's a mental image for you... Picture me, balancing myself three-feet in the air on the stool (without handles) to get the shot and then that ball came flying right at me. WHACK!

One of the parents commented that it was a good thing I didn't have my lens right up to the fence. Thankfully, I know not to do this; good thing too, because the ball is coming with such force and without the fence, both my lens and I would have been taken OUT!

E. you're a beautiful young lady, strong player and an awesome teammate!

2009 Lip Sync

Miss E. and her friends were doing their thing--and doing it well!

I've photographed this event for the past three-years and I love it!

It's been so fun seeing the kids gain confidence over the years and the fact that they're surrounded by such an awesome support system at this school, along with their parents is incredible. To see the kids evolve over the years has been inspiring--It wouldn't surprise me a bit to see some of these kids on the stage, theater, or screen in the future!

The many faces of Miss E.

Music by The Beatles
Let it Be

Last night, this little star in the making performed in her school's auditorium. She blew me away. She played the piano while singing, "Let it Be."

These lyrics are timeless, but mean so much at a time when so many are struggling right now and I was overwhelmed; she did a fantastic job!

E- you have my admiration, love and support always, so I put together a slideshow covering what I'm confident will be your path to stardom...

Don't forget me when you make it to Broadway!

Friends from the Netherlands

Last Sunday my friend Susanne and her two kids E and P came over for a visit.

We spent the day together catching up and Suus helped setup Skype on my laptop, so we can actually see each other more than every three-years!

P.S. We miss you Dwighty!!! XOXO

Look at these two; they're adorable and their English was impressive too!
