Finally!  A (documentary) shot showing a sense of scale as to how tiny these baby bunnies really are.   I caught this while the bunny was grazing and the squirrel who was nursing at the time was foraging for food.

The baby squirrels finally came out about 9 days ago and they will sleep just about anywhere...  so cute!

Backyard wildlife for this past week.  Mama squirrel has taken over the bird condo getting ready for her little ones to debut, the Grosbeaks are back this year--just arrived this week.  One mischievous raccoon has been dropping by both during the day and night.  The chipmunks had babies and I've got rabbits-and baby rabbits of various stages right now.  It's nice to take on personal projects in between photographing portraits for my clients, especially when they walk right past your office window on a daily basis. 

Morning visitors...

Yesterday morning I was working in my office and had a visitor.  It's so rare not to see a family of deer, but lately this one doe just comes alone. 

She spent quite a while hanging out and poking around sliding glass doors and my office window until the squirrel startled her and off she went. 

She was having a little trouble initially getting the apple I'd set out for her the night before, but she finally got a hold of it and was able to have a nice snack before moving on.

Below is a small sampling of the morning visitors I get right outside my office window--and I love it! I could do without the brown squirrels, because they are so aggressive, but they're entertaining too! (click photos to enlarge.)

This is one of the resident squirrel's that greets me every morning when I come into my office.

On this day he was particularly acrobatic.

Nature photographer's dream...

I am passionate about nature and wildlife photography and to see these wonderful creatures when I come into my office most mornings is just fantastic!
