Bellevue Photographer - December 2012 Photo of the Month
I've been seeing this little guy since he was a cub back in September and he stopped by earlier this week. As a former nature and wildlife photographer, I'm so blessed to see wildlife right outside my office most any given day. These gorgeous creatures do not pose, so I have to be quick. However, "cubby" as I affectionately call him, actually did pose for a half a second and was promptly on the move!

Redmond Photographer | Bobcat visitor
This one has been a frequent visitor to my yard the past month. I was working in my office and caught the color of this bobcat out of the corner of my eye. I always have my camera ready and captured this face shot! If I my head wasn't buried in front of dual monitors working on post production, I would have noticed how quiet it was outside my office window, no bunnies, squirrels, or chipmunks, which I see all day long, but they all disappear when a bobcat is in their midst.

Bellevue Family Photographer | Wild versus Pampered
This wild bobcat walked right up to my window this morning, soaking wet from the rain:

The bobcat came around this morning
I was working in my office this morning and suddenly a bobcat jumps out of the bushes. I should have known something was up, since it was so quite outside my office window. When it's quiet like that; somethings up--either a coyote or bobcat are hovering nearby, or I see bunnies, chipmunks, voles, birds and squirrels--and none were out there, it was quiet; and now I know why.

The bobcat came by for a visit this morning!
What a surprise!!
Paul and I were just talking this morning about (who knows what) I got so excited, I forgot what we were talking about, because I looked up and saw a bobcat walking by my office window! We haven't seen a bobcat on our property since June 2007. This one looked so thin...
I frantically repeated, "Bobcat! Bobcat!"
Paul jumped up and went into the indoor hot tub room where he was peeking through the blinds. I walked in there and he whispered, "Grab your camera!"
I went for my 70-200 f/2.8 L IS lens and ran back in the room where Paul was watching. The neighbor across the street was doing some construction work and since the bobcat saw us and heard the noise across the street and they are so skittish by nature, it just looked right at me shooting away through the window--which coincidentally, Paul just cleaned yesterday.
