They're eating, but the one on the right keeps inching toward the little lady on the left.

Morning visitor

I woke up this morning and saw this doe munching just outside my office window. I knew she wasn't alone, because I've been seeing her family almost daily. Sure enough, the other three were not far behind.
I feel so blessed to look outside my office window on any given day and see some kind of wildlife, be it a bird, chipmunk, or deer... a photographer's dream and I am grateful!

Mr. K and Baseball

What a great group of boys... They managed a grand slam last night, which was so exciting! Their camaraderie and team spirit in a word: "Contagious."

I managed to find a few holes in the netting above the chain link to shoot these photos and even managed to get above the concession stand, which gave me a high vantage point.

Miss E. and Fast Pitch Softball

I had the opportunity last night to watch Miss E. and her teammates play fast pitch softball. I'm used to shooting at fields that are not encased by the big chain link fences, (the younger kids play on open fields.)

Initially, I was put off by the high fence (not photograph friendly.) Well... I have a new appreciation for these high-rise fences... Miss E. was assigned to play catcher, so I got my stool and lined myself right behind home base.

Here's a mental image for you... Picture me, balancing myself three-feet in the air on the stool (without handles) to get the shot and then that ball came flying right at me. WHACK!

One of the parents commented that it was a good thing I didn't have my lens right up to the fence. Thankfully, I know not to do this; good thing too, because the ball is coming with such force and without the fence, both my lens and I would have been taken OUT!

E. you're a beautiful young lady, strong player and an awesome teammate!

Mr. D. and Lacrosse

Mr. D. is a fantastic Lacrosse player! This was the first Lacrosse game I've attended and I had no idea that a Lacrosse field was so big (at least it seemed bigger than the other fields where I've photographed children's sporting events.)

I especially liked how when one of the players is injured, the game comes to a complete stop and both teams get down on one knee and wait until something has been determined. Once the player has been removed from the field, both teams cheer the injured player. Impressive sportsmanship!
